I turned 29 on the 29th and had a great day (except for the fact that I had to go to work)… now I have to do all the stuff that must be done before I turn 30 :-)

"The computer world has a language of its own, just like Hungary.

The difference is, if you hang around with Hungarians long enough you eventually start to understand them." (Dave Barry)

I was in Budapest for the long (4 days) weekend and it was great. Wasn't what I expected, it was just so much better... More details coming up soon (yeah just like I said I would give more details on the Shanghai trip, yeah yeah yeah sorry it'll show up sooner or later eh) but here are a few of pictures...

Geek

These past few days, besides spending a lot (too much) time at work, I have sold my Clio (goodbye, dear friend) and dismantled my Basse guitar amplifier hoping to find the root cause of it not working (after hours of dismantling steering wheel switches on a crash-test car at work).

And now (and it's linked):

A question for you

What is the first book you ever remember reading?

(I think it was Betrix Potter's "The Tale of Peter Rabbit" and "The Story of Miss Moppet" but I'd have to double check with my mom).

Tonari no Totoro

Yeah!!! Good news for a Totoro geek like me! The DVD version for Europe is now available, just like the one for Pompoko!
As my Totoro DVD (that I had to import from North America) is now AWOL, this is very good news!!! You (and I) have now no excuse, no matter where you are in the world, not to buy and watch this excellent animation movie.

I'm a geek, deal with it.
One of my main activities when in Japan, is to find Totoro related stuff. Here's a photo of the front of a catbus in a Tokyo harbour store.
